The words "maha maitri" are Sanskrit and loosely translate to "great love." It is a term from Buddhist philosophy used in connection with The Four Immeasurable Minds: maitri (love), karuna (compassion), mudita (joy), and upeksha (equanimity).
This blog is called maha maitri out of my love for sharing my spiritual journey with you. While I am a follower of Buddhist philosophy, I enjoy learning and incorporating all spiritual traditions into my own path which I feel drawn to, particularly the Christian tradition in which I was raised.
